Acrylics, Watercolours, Oils, Pastels, Inks and Pencils galore! Graphite, coloured, pastel, watercolour and even Chinagraph. We are confident you won’t find more variety for miles and don’t forget Charcoal and graphite sticks, putty rubbers and erasers. We’ve got plenty of them as well.

We have a smaller section to cater for those who enjoy craft work. Air drying clay or the ever popular Soft Fimo as well as Modroc and plaster of Paris.

Porcelaine paints for decorating china and glass and Vitrail for glass; Marabu paint for silk painters and a lot of the ancillary items as well as Pongee 5 and Habutai 8 silk, both hemmed pieces and also by the metre.

There are some accessories that are of real benefit to artists so we keep an excellent selection of easels from basic display easels, to table easels right up to studio easels.Lay figures of the human form, cats, dogs, horses; a giraffe and even an elephant! Ordinary art shops don’t bother with these but then, we are no ordinary shop.

PICTURE FRAMING
We are the oldest established picture framer in town; indeed it could be said we are the only picture framer as it is our claim that all the framing work is undertaken personally on the premises, unlike the majority of establishments who say they are framers but are, in reality, agents. Peter has a wealth of experience to draw on (his favourite pun!) and is able to take larger samples from his workroom stock to help you with your choice of moulding from his range of 200 different profiles.
